On Tuesday 17 October, Bishop Martyn gave the keynote address at Reconciliation Initiatives’ first racial justice conference, drawing on his reflections on our diocese's journey towards intercultural communities.

Intercultural 'New Beginnings'

A gloriously intercultural service celebrating ‘New Beginnings’ and commitment to shared ministry, took place at the Church of the Martyrs in Leicester recently as Michael Jawahar B Ravuri was licensed in the role of Intercultural Ministry Enabler.


Love, support and prayer for the Ukrainian community in every stitch

This patchwork quilt has been lovingly hand-stitched by a faithful and faith-filled network of quilters, who regularly retreat at Launde Abbey, to raise money for Ukrainian people living in Leicester.

Bishop of Leicester shares concerns about moving asylum-seekers to army barracks

Bishop Martyn has written to MPs within Leicester and Leicestershire to share his concerns about the Government’s recent announcement that people seeking asylum in the UK will be moved out of hotels and into former military barracks and possibly disused ferries.
