A “Thank You” from Ward 29

This model of a church, made entirely of cardboard, was a nice surprise for the team of chaplains and volunteers who lead a regular “Songs of Praise” on Ward 29 of the Leicester Royal Infirmary.  Made completely out of cardboard it was made by  patients, with the help of Dan from the Meaningful Activities Team, as a “thank you” to those who lead the services, which are mostly attended by patients who live with dementia. The service features well known hymns and uses interactive prayers and readings and is just one example of the great work done by Chaplains and chaplaincy volunteers in a range of contexts around the Diocese. The photo was sent to us by Healthcare Chaplain, Revd Sonya Wratten.
