New honorary bishop for Diocese

Last week Bishop Martyn licensed the Rt Revd Peter Fox to be an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese. Bishop Peter, who was previously Bishop of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, will join Rt Revd Christopher Boyle as an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Leicester. They will both take on various episcopal duties from time to time (including confirmations and licensings of new clergy), as well as exercising pastoral ministry.

In 2006, he returned to the UK to take on two parishes in the diocese of Norwich, where he was also Honorary Assistant Bishop (and will remain so). He and his wife Angie have recently retired to Castle Donington in Leicester Diocese. Bishop Peter is seen here with Bishops Martyn, Guli and Christopher.
