Vee commissioned as an Evangelist

One of our Intercultural Pioneer Ministers, Vee Pinto, has been commissioned as an evangelist by the Church Army (CA).

After the ceremony, a very delighted Vee said: “Being a commissioned CA evangelist means a lot to me because it’s an acknowledgment of my calling and recognition that lay people can make a difference. I feel better equipped to enable others in sharing their faith in Jesus in everyday ways. I am so grateful to everyone for the support and prayers throughout my CA training.  I am truly overwhelmed with joy and excitement for what the future holds.”

Vee also explained what the ceremony was all about and how it differs from licensing: "Admitting and Commissioning is being admitted to the office of Evangelist in the Anglican Church by a Bishop acting on behalf of the Archbishops; so I was  commissioned in the Church Army; when I take up any post I will be licenced by my own Bishop to the particular post for the amount of time my stay in that post lasts."
