Resources for MCs

This page as a range of resources for worshipping communities to use in preparation of the move into the Minster Communities framework, for those who are in the process of forming a Minster Community and also those who have formed their Minster Community and are working together in this new structure for the first time.

Each resource has a short description, a marker to explain who it is most helpful for:

  • Those preparing (P)
  • Those forming Minster Communties (F)
  • Those  living as  Minster Communties (L).

There is also guidance on what level of facilitation it requires - if it can be led locally or requires outside facilitation.

If you would like more information or would like to chat further about these resources please contact the Parish Transition and Ministry Development Team.

Core Resources

Conversation Starter – P
This docuemnt is designed to help worshipping communities take stock of where they have been placed by God and who they are as a church. This is helpful for worshipping communities that have not yet begun the formal process of forming a minster community. Mindful that our diocesan vision is “the Kingdom of God”, this discussion starter asks our worshipping communities to reflect upon their strengths as a community, areas where they may need help and support, partnerships they are currently working in and also to think about what their mission as a church looks like.
