Every year, the Archdeacons’ Visitations take place. These are formal church services, during which Churchwardens across each Archdeaconry are admitted. They make a formal declaration and the Archdeacons offer prayer and encouragement.

The dates for this year’s annual visitations and swearing in of churchwardens across the Diocese are as follows:
Leicester Archdeaconry
- 3 June – Framland and Goscote at St Mary the Virgin and St John the Baptist, Rothley
- 11 June – Gartree and Launde at St Peter’s, Oadby
- 15 June – City of Leicester at St Andrew’s, Jarrom Street
Loughborough Archdeaconry
- 1 June – Akeley East and NW Leicester at Emmanuel, Loughborough
- 8 June – Guthlaxton and Sparkenhoe West at St John’s, Hinckley
- 22 June – Sparkenhoe East at St Peter’s, Copt Oak
All services will begin at 7.30pm.
