The Ministry Experience Scheme in the Diocese of Leicester has three core elements:
- Missional placement – Placement churches provide a context for ministry, accommodation, and supervision. We have city, town, and rural placements across a range of church traditions.
- Training – We will work with you to find a suitable programme of study or vocational training. Options may include New Wine Discipleship Year, lay ministry training or Diocesan courses.
- Support Network – Our aim is to create a network of support for each participant, including a placement supervisor, mentor, and access to Diocesan Vocations team. During the year we gather MES participants for quiet days, social events, and training (such as unconscious bias & antiracism training).
