Children, Young People & Families Worker - St Simon and St Jude's, Earl Shilton

We want every child and young person in Earl Shilton to be able to explore and discover their spirituality through the Christian faith by developing projects that thrive at the intersection between church, school and household.

St Simon and St Jude's, Earl Shilton is a welcoming, intergenerational parish church in a small post-industrial town in rural Leicestershire. For over a decade, we have been intentionally working with CYPF, seeking to meet both practical and spiritual needs. We do not believe we have all the answers. Part of your role will be to journey with us, to discover more about who we are and who God is calling us to become, and to support us as we grow.

You are a high-calibre, creative and committed practitioner, someone who will help shape and deliver meaningful discipleship pathways at the intersection of church, home and school. You will work closely with our worship and Sunday Club teams, and build strong links with our three local schools. Stepping into this role, you will have freedom to bring your unique gifts, passions and skills to shape the work.

This is a leadership role for someone with a living, Christ-centred spirituality, a strong shared vision for growth and transformation and proven leadership, organisation and volunteer coordination skills.

Does this sound like you? We would love to hear from you.

If you would like an informal conversation before applying, please contact Catherine Leach (catherine_irving@hotmail.com) - she would be delighted to hear from you.
