Pioneer Priest in the Parish of the Resurrection, Leicester

Could you be called to lead and inspire us to find new ways of sharing and growing our Christian faith in our richly diverse multicultural area?

We are seeking to appoint a Pioneer Priest in one of the demographically largest, most diverse and most deprived parishes in the Diocese of Leicester. Our vision is to keep the flame of the Christian faith and light going to prepare for the coming kingdom, to link the flame with the other local Christian communities and do something new in the area around the church.

We seek a person who will:

  • Observe and engage locally, understanding the different contexts and cultures, values and priorities, and develop creative ways of working across the community.
  • Develop our confidence in ministering alongside the diverse people of the parish.
  • Encourage participation in Shaped by God Together and our future Minster Community.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with people outside the church.

For an informal conversation, please contact Archdeacon of Leicester: Ven. Richard Worsfold 0116 261 5319, richard.worsfold@leicestercofe.org

Closing date for applications: Noon Wednesday 29 May

Interviews: Monday 1 July
