Chrispal Anand, has been appointed as the new Chair of DFEMA (Diocesan Forum for Ethnic Minority Anglicans). Chrispal, who worships at Leicester’s Church of the Resurrection is an honorary Lay Canon of the Cathedral, and is currently in training for Reader ministry.
Bishop Guli said “I’m delighted that Canon Chrispal Anand has agreed to become Chair of DFEMA. It is especially good to have his experience and insights in leading the group at a time when, as a diocese, we are thinking more strategically about the mission and ministry of BAME people and also wanting to encourage greater collaboration between lay and ordained people. DFEMA has been active for many years, keeping a torch shining for greater diversity in the diocese and providing a strong foundation for us to continue building upon. I am especially grateful to Revd Paskal Clements for his role in chairing the group over the past 6 years.”
