The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of Canon David Palmer as the new Chair of the Tier 2 Growth Fund Committee, from the 4th June 2019.
David Palmer is a retired Civil Servant who worked as a Deputy Director in the Scottish Office/Scottish Executive. For many years he was actively involved in the Scottish Episcopal Church, serving on General Synod and Diocesan Synod and in his own local church. He was made an Honorary Lay Canon of St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh in 2016 and moved to Leicester in 2017.
Canon Prof. David Wilson, who has been chairman since the committees’ creation, has stepped down.
