With sadness, the Bishop announces the death of Dr Hugh James, aged 77, on 31 December 2022. Hugh served faithfully as a Lay Reader at Holy Trinity, Leicester, and then for 18 years at St Paul’s, Oadby. During his long ministry, Hugh served as a Deanery Synod member, and as Lay Representative on General Synod, plus wider involvement in diocesan life. Hugh’s funeral will be held at St Paul’s, Oadby, at 1pm on Friday 20 January 2023, to which all are welcome
