We regret to announce the death of Bill Moss, former chair of the Diocesan Board of Finance. Bill was well known in Leicester and Leicestershire for his work with his family firm of Towles plc where he was chair and joint managing director. Outside of this significant commitment he was also heavily involved in community life in and around Loughborough, acting as Chair or Vice-Chair of the Loughborough Building Society, Loughborough Endowed Schools and the Kegworth Carnival. In addition to chairing the DBF, a role from which he retired in 2008, he was also an Honorary Canon of Leicester Cathedral. He enjoyed fine wine, gardening and cricket and was awarded an honorary doctorate from Loughborough University. He is survived by his wife Ruth.
