It is with sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Sylvia Warren, widow of The Very Revd Alan Warren, aged 87. Sylvia trained as a teacher and taught RE at Newarke Girls School and Early Years at Stoneygate Play School. She was also an active member of the Mother’s Union, working at Diocesan and National level. Sylvia was married to Alan, who was Provost at Leicester Cathedral from 1978-1992. Sylvia’s funeral is to be held on Monday 18 September at 12.30pm at Gilrose Cemetery, to which all are welcome.
