The Revd Canon John George Frostick

The Bishop announces the death of the Revd Canon John Frostick aged 95 on Saturday 20 April 2019.

John was ordained in Leicester in 1954 and served his curacies at St Peter’s Loughborough (1954-1957) and St Mary’s Knighton (1957-1958). He was then Vicar of Frisby on the Wreake with Kirby Bellars (1958-1971) and subsequently Vicar of St Botolph Shepshed (1971-1983). He was made Honorary Canon of Leicester Cathedral in 1980.

In 1983, John moved to be Rector of St Mary and St Martin Kirton with Falkenham in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

He retired in 1990 and moved back to the Diocese of Leicester, holding Permission to Officiate until 2015.

He leaves a wife, Marguerite, and three adult children
