The Bishop has been informed of the death of The Revd Canon Kenneth William Baker in August 2020, aged 81. Ken was ordained in 1997 and served initially in the Diocese of Peterborough. From 2001 he was Priest in Charge at Swinford and Kilworth, and then Team Rector of the Avon-Swift Benefice until 2011. He then served as Priest in Charge of Humberstone from 2012 until he retired in 2014. Ken was Rural Dean of Guthlaxton from 2005 – 2010 and was made Honorary Canon of Leicester Cathedral in 2006. Ken held the Bishop's Permission to Officiate in Leicester until 2019, as well as in the Dioceses of Peterborough and Coventry.
