The Bishop announces the death of the Revd Dr Gerald Thorneycroft Rimmington aged 89 on Thursday 10th October 2019.
Gerald was ordained in 1978 and served his curacy in the Diocese of Peterborough, before moving to be Vicar of Cosby, in this Diocese in 1987. He moved to be Rector in Barwell cum Stapleton and Potters Marston in 1990.
He retired to Countesthorpe in 1995, holding the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate until 2015.
He leaves behind his wife, Jacqui and adult children.
