The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Jan Collins, aged 65, on 10th April 2021. In 1994 Jan was ordained as one of the first women priests, having served as a deaconess and deacon in the Dioceses of Newcastle and St Albans. Jan ministered in the Dioceses of Oxford and Peterborough, before retiring to Leicester where she held the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate
