The Bishop announces the death of The Very Revd Alan Warren, aged 88, on 22nd December 2020. Alan was Vicar of Holy Apostles, Leicester from 1964-1972 and then served as Provost of Leicester Cathedral from 1978 until he retired in 1992. Before moving to Leicester, Alan ministered in the Dioceses of Canterbury and Exeter, and from 1972 – 1978 was Diocesan Missioner and Honorary Canon in the Diocese of Coventry. He had held Permission to Officiate in the Diocese of Norwich since his retirement. He leaves a wife, Sylvia, and three daughters with their extended families.
