Election of the 10th Bishop of Wyoming

Bishop John Smilie will be retiring in February 2021 and the Diocese of Wyoming is currently in the process of selecting their next Bishop.  The three candidates have been travelling around Wyoming to meet as many people as possible.  The Diocesan Convention, held on 19th September, will then elect their next bishop.

Our friendship with the Diocese of Wyoming is a source of rich mutual support and learning and so we join with them in praying for the candidates, for the election process, for a healthy transition and for Bishop John and his wife Gill as they settle into retirement.

The new bishop will be consecrated on 13th February at the Cathedral in Laramie
