Please note that information on parish safeguarding arrangements – and specifically who to contact if someone has any safeguarding concerns – should appear on the front page of all parish websites. If this isn’t currently the case, then we ask that websites are updated as soon as reasonably possible.
We realise that some parish safeguarding co-ordinators may not wish to have their phone numbers available more widely, but the website should include information on how to get their contact details. A suggested form of words appears below.
If you have a safeguarding concern, then please contact our local Safeguarding Co-ordinator, N, (insert contact details or how to get these) or the parish priest. If you wish to speak to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team, or to someone outside the church, their contact details are available here (insert link to https://www.leicester.anglican.org/about/safeguarding/)
Many parishes, whether they have their own parish website or not, use “A Church Near You”. There is a link on the bottom of every page on A Church Near You to the map linking to all diocesan safeguarding contacts. This also shows on every parish ACNY page.
