Ride+Stride on Saturday 12th September took place in perfect weather with people all over Leicester and Leicestershire registering at nearly 300 churches and chapels, travelling around by bike or on foot, and with at least two people on horseback. Janet Arthur, Chair of the LeicesterShire Historic Churches Trust, and all the Trustees are hugely grateful to everyone who took part – whether as local organiser opening a church or chapel with the necessary safety arrangements, or ensuring that the sign-in Register was easily available if the church had to be closed; or as a participant raising sponsorship for their church and the Trust. We know that many people were so glad that Ride+Stride could take place, giving safe opportunities for people to get out and about and see each other.
