Salt of the earth: the Bishop of Loughborough's Lent 2020 Pilgrimage

Bishop Guli is encouraging clergy to reply to her recent letter with expressions of interest for places to visit as part of her planned Lent Pilgrimage in 2020 ‘Salt of the earth’. She is seeking ideas that will help celebrate well-established projects, reflect on work done,  or to bless new beginnings. No project is too small. Reply forms should be sent to peter.collett@leccofe.org at Bishop’s Office.

During Lent 2020, the pilgrimage will see Bishop Guli spending two or three days each week in a different location and context, learning and joining in activities expressing everyday faith in action, and praying with the church and community.  This will be a spiritual journey for her personally and she also hopes it we will offer the wider diocese some inspiration and encouragement. The pilgrimage will sit alongside and complement Bishop Martyn’s plans for a Lent Course reflecting the theme of Everyday Witness, which you will hear more about in coming months.
