Valparai, a hill station in Tamilnadu where tea plantations and the related works are the main focus of the lives of the local people, is badly affected by the recent incessant rains that have fallen across southern India and the floods that followed.
Under the directive of Rt Rev. Chandrasekaran, the Bishop in the Trichy- Tanjore Diocese of the Church of South India (CSI) a group of pastors and youngsters under the leadership of Rev. John Prabhu, Rev. Joshua and Rev. John Wesley involved in the rescue and rehabilitation work in the last couple of days. The churches and schools of CSI are open for the affected people.
