A weekend of commemoration and celebration in Earl Shilton

On Sunday 24 July Bishop Martyn confirmed seven people and seven people were admitted to communion in a wonderful service of celebration. Photos below include some of those confirmed/admitted to communion including Glynis, Fran, Caro, Jil, Siobhan, Rebecca, Nathan and Christiana.

The weekend was also a special one for members of the Bowley family. The church spire was lit for the first time on Friday 22 July 2022. The lighting was dedicated by Barbara Bowley (Churchwarden) in memory of her late husband, David Bowley and the Bowley family, who have been living in Earl Shilton for many years.  To share in this memory within the community.   Barbara and her son Graham and Daughter-in-law Chrystia Freeland, who is the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and were visiting for the weekend, attend the Sunday service and are pictured below with Bishop Martyn.
