Celebration at Called Together Service

On Saturday 9 October the annual Called Together service took place at Leicester Cathedral.

There were eight people newly licensed as Readers and two as Associate Ministers. There were also six Readers and one Pastoral Assistant who were licensed in January via Zoom and were present in the cathedral to be prayed for by the Bishop and receive their symbols of ministry (a Bible).

Those renewing their licenses (which they do every three years) joined in the livestreamed service and were able to renew their commission for ministry. Find out more about our new lisenced lay ministers here. You can view the photos from the service here
