Our bishops took time to meet and worship with many people around the diocese during the past few months, baptising and confirming a number of candidates on their journeys.
There was much joy and celebration at the Church of the Martyrs in Leicester as Richard, Moses, Osas and Monica were confirmed by Bishop Martyn in front of their church, family, and friends.
Those confirmed also shared their faith stories, and why they have chosen to say ‘yes’ to God.
You can read their testimonies here.
The sun was shining when Bishop Saju led a wonderful Pentecost service with baptism and confirmation at Leicester Cathedral last month.
During the celebration, Kingsley, Judith, Juliette and Michelle were baptised and confirmed, while Emma, Adaora, Andrew, Phillip and Anne Marie were also confirmed.
The Easter candle was extinguished, and the congregation prayed that the power and gifts of the Spirit will be known and bear fruit in their lives.
A selection of the candidate’s testimonies can be read here.
A further service on Pentecost Sunday saw Anuj, Ansten, Chisom and Christopher confirmed by Honorary Assistant Bishop, Christopher Boyle, at St Andrew’s Church in Jarrom Street, Leicester.
