All around the diocese our schools and churches, clergy and ministers, have been holding services and taking part in civic and community events to mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.
The Bishop of Leicester took part in a multi-faith Remembrance Day Service at Brahma Kumaris, Harmony House, Ross Walk in Leicester.
Bishop Martyn had again took part in Leicester's civic Remembrane Service at the Cenotaph in Victoria Park on Sunday morning. He also spoke on BBC Radio Leicester at 7.35am that morning about the importance of remembering.

He also took part in the Kirby Muxloe Armistice Day Remembrance Service on 11 November, which was attended by children from the local school, nursery, Royal British Legion and local community. After teh service he re-dedicated their refurbished Memorial Gates (See photo below) before chatting with people in the Community Library over coffee.
Canon Alison Adams led a short Service of Remembrance at Leicester Market on Armistice Day, Friday 11 November. She was joined by the Lord Mayor of Leicester George Cole, Leicester South MP Jon Ashworth, and other dignitaries.
