As part of the National Digital Rollout the Diocese of Leicester will be offering contactless machines, which normally cost between £250 and £350, to parishes at a heavily discounted price.
Application will be made using an online form and will require churches to explain what benefit they feel they will receive from having one of these machines, and how much usage they would anticipate it will get.
There will be different machines offered for different contexts, so if you have always ruled out the possibility of getting a card reader because your church struggles to even get a phone signal, there may be a solution we can offer as part of this rollout. Take a look at the sorts of machines we are talking about: Parish Buying - CollecTin More including SumUp Reader or Parish Buying - Payaz Giving Station (neither of these machines are guaranteed and are included here just to indicate the type of machine possible).
The closing date for applications will be 16 August, and there will be two online Question and Answer sessions, to be held on 1 and 2 August, to help any church not sure about the details. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible after the closing date.
The first step for any church that wishes to apply is to study the project pack by following this link: https://parishbuying.org.uk/leicester-digital-giving-rollout
Step 2 – have a discussion with your PCC.
Step 3 - Fill in the online application form by following the link to the project page on the Leicester Digital Giving rollout webpage
If you are unsure about whether to apply or not, why not give the Generous Giving team a call (Philip 07535 14416, Scott 07534 529286 or Ariel 07943 469685) we will be happy to talk through your context and the potential benefits.
