On Sunday October 12, a special event took place in the Chapel of Stuart Court Retirement Home in Kibworth.
With the permission of Bishop Martyn, and the agreement of Parish Priest he Revd Ludger Fremmer, two support workers from the home - Jo and her daughter Georgia - were baptised by The Revd Tricia Allsopp, retired clergy member with PTO in this diocese.
Many of the residents joined the service, to add their support.
Revd Tricia said: “It was a joyful occasion with friends and family in attendance. We believe it is the first baptism service to be held in any of the Pensions Board Homes.
“We wish Jo and Georgia every blessing as they continue their faith journey with Jesus.”
