A new ‘Disability Matters’ newsletter has been launched by The Church of England, as part of the Church’s commitment to prioritising the inclusion of deaf and disabled people in our worshipping communities.
The Diocese of Leicester’s Disability Awareness Advisor, Emily Williams, has been working with the team to produce the publication, which will be available to read on the Disability Matters website and via email subscription.
Emily says: “This is going to be a space that is populated with encouraging testimonies, educational blogs and helpful resources all with the aim of working together to ensure deaf and disabled people are full members of the church.”
The newsletter will be published quarterly, alongside the wealth of information available throughout the year on the website, equipping churches for full deaf and disabled belonging.
“We'd love for people to sign up to the newsletter on the website so future articles come straight to their inbox,” says Emily.
