We are delighted to announce our new Director of Finance and Support Services, Paul Stothard has started work for the diocese.
Immense thanks go to Jim Pullen who has been Acting Director since our previous Director, John Orridge, left to move to Oxford at the end of last year. Jim continues to work for our Finance team and will provide hugely valuable continuity for the smooth operation of our finances.
Paul has kindly shared some biographical details to help us all get to know him: “I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young with whom I spent some time in Bahrain, where I met my wife, Louise. We have three children, one grandchild and two Jack Russells."
“My career to date has involved a number of roles across a number of sectors, but more recently I have worked in the legal sector whilst taking on Trustee roles in the charity sector.
“I am a Trustee with Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough and Oxfordshire Youth. I am a Reader in the Peterborough Diocese and serve the rural benefice where I live in South Northamptonshire.
“I am a keen motorcyclist and have missed planning the big trips over the past year. When I am not doing as I am told in the garden, I manage to fit in the odd round of golf (odd in so many ways!) and very much look forward to once again enjoying a pint of beer at my local when conditions allow.”
