Due to the COVID19 pandemic the ordinations of priests and deacons, which normally take place at Petertide, were delayed. They will now take place in three services on Sunday 13 September for the ordination of priests, and three services on Sunday 27 September for the ordination of deacons, all at Leicester Cathedral (please note that current planned arrangements may have to change if lockdown rules change).

1.00pm Hazel Aucken, Ivan Bennett, Jon Berry, Wilma Colley
3.30pm Sarah Collins, Mark Cooper, Matthew Gough, Ann Hall
6.00pm Laura Jackson, Emily Sharman, Chris Szejnmann, Jon Tearne
Sunday 27 September - ordination of deacons
1.00pm Nick Baker, Matthew Creber-Davies, Pauline Cummins
3.30pm Paul Emberton, Ros Harper, Maria Jukes
6.00pm Rob Leveritt, Dawn Matthew, Crystal McAllister, Biddy Saunders
A prayer card can be downloaded here to aid the whole diocese to pray for all of those who are going to be ordained, whether they are based in your parishes or not.
Bishops Martyn and Guli will share in the leading of these services, and the preacher will be the Rt Revd Dr Graham Kings (former bishop of Sherborne), who will also conduct the ordination retreat. Congregation sizes for these services will be restricted to thirty people (following government guidance). Unfortunatly most people will not be able to be physically present for these services to support the ordinands but it is expected that the services will be livestreamed for anyone to watch on our YouTube channel here.
