Members of the public can attend a special service run by the Cathedral team at St Mary de Castro, off The Newarke, Leicester on the edge of De Montfort University campus at 6.30pm on Saturday 10 September.
Leicester Cathedral (which is currently closed for Leicester Cathedral Revealed building work) whas organised the special Service of Prayer and Reflection at the historic church and it will enable people attending to light a candle as well as singing hymns and hear choral anthems and organ music. Led by the Dean of Leicester, the Bishop of Loughborough will read and the Bishop of Leicester will facilitate reflections. Guests will include the High Sheriff, Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Chairman of Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Lord Mayor.
Members of the public can also sign an official Book of Condolence at St Martins House reception, next to Leicester Cathedral on Peacock Lane in the city during the national mourning period. Reception will be open 8am to 5pm everyday including weekends.

A peal of muffled bells will be rung from the Leicester Cathedral tower from 9.45am on Sunday until 10.30am when the weekly Sunday morning service (open to all) starts at St Martins House.
