Around 800 children participated in free craft activities at Leicester Cathedral during the summer holidays.
From archaeology to falcon crafts, clay grotesques and music workshops, a changing offer meant families attended regularly and, thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund, sessions were free.
There was increased footfall from the LOROS #StompAroundLeicester elephants trail, with people staying to take part in the crafts.
A new dedicated children’s area, Activity Book and free Explorers’ Trail were well used and the hourly prayers in the Cathedral led to many conversations.
New themed stay and play sessions, Little Tigers, are also taking place on the first Tuesday of the month until the end of the year - bookable on Eventbrite.
For full information on all our Children and Families activities, please see the Cathedral website.
The children’s area and activity trail are permanent features so do come by and explore the Cathedral together.
