Taking the Next Steps on Your Journey in Faith

If you are seeking to grow in your knowledge of the Christian Faith, deepen your relationship with God and explore how to live out your faith in your whole life, then our Journey in Faith (JiF) course is a great place to start.

The course is delivered over three terms and looks at:
1. Exploring Faith (an opportunity to consider our own faith journeys and an introduction to Theological Reflection.)
2. God’s Call and Our Response (including an introduction to the Old Testament.)
3. Development of the Church (an introduction to the New Testament and Church Doctrine – what we say we believe.)

Running through all three terms will be evenings entitled Ministry, Mission and Vocation, when we will consider how we discern our gifts, hearing God’s call and making our response to God.

Talking about their experience of the Journey in Faith course, a previous participant said: “If you want to know more about yourself and your Christian faith, then JiF is the course for you. You’ll be welcomed and challenged, affirmed and changed, and you'll definitely be glad you came.”

Journey in Faith is a course open to anyone wanting to take the next step in their discipleship.

Revd Liz Rawlings, our Diocesan Discipleship and Vocations Enabler, who co-ordinates the course, says: “The Journey in Faith Course does what it says – it helps us to journey deeper in our faith. We do this best in the company of others and so these groups provide the space to learn together and inspire one other to grow in our understanding of our faith and our experience of God.

“It doesn’t matter if you are exploring faith, new to faith or have been in church for many years. You don’t need to have done any learning before but come eager to learn and willing to share your own questions and experience.”

Bookings are now open for courses starting in September.
