Buckingham Palace has published new details about the Coronation weekend, which takes place from 6 to 8 May this year. These provide opportunities for churches to mark the occasion with special services and community events:
Saturday 6 May: The Coronation of King Charles III takes place at Westminster Abbey. Could your church livestream it and invite people to come and watch
Sunday 7 May: Churches are being encouraged to hold services of thanksgiving. Communities are also being invited to hold a Coronation Big Lunch to share "food and fun" together
Monday 8 May: Members of the public will be invited to take part in The Big Help Out, which will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas
