New Ways of Engaging with Thy Kingdom Come for 2024

Thy Kingdom Come is an annual ecumenical prayer movement which unites Christians around the world in praying from Ascension to Pentecost for the coming of the Spirit and for more people to come to know Christ. This year it will take place from Thursday 9th May to Sunday 19th May, and the national church has produced new and updated resources so everyone can take part.

50 Volunteers Read the Whole Bible Aloud in 70 Hours

For the final days of Lent and Holy Week, The Church of the Martyrs in Leicester made the ambitious decision to read the entire Bible aloud as a community. The church was opened every day from the Thursday before Holy Week for up to 13 hours a day while volunteers read from scripture, and members of the community were invited to come along to listen.
