SING CHRISTMAS is the region's biggest Christmas sing-along. It's an interactive carol concert organised by BBC Radio Leicester, the Diocese of Leicester and Churches Together in Leicestershire.
During the hectic preparations for Christmas it is easy to let all our activities overwhelm us. Why not try one of the new books written for the season of Advent? They can enrich your spiritual life and provide the discipline some of us need to keep God at the center of our run up to Christmas.
As part of its annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign, Ecclesiastical Insurance will be giving 120 different charities an early Christmas gift of a £1,000 donation, with 10 winners announced each weekday from 5 to 20 December.

A big thank you to all those who applied for Follow the Star funding, we are pleased to announce that we gave out 45 grants to churches totalling £16,895! We look forward to sharing how churches have used this money which was granted for LED Stars on churches, ‘The Star' DVDs for Messy Churches, resources for Christmas Craft workshops, ingredients for baking star shaped biscuits to give out and much more!
Follow the Star is back for 2019 with 12 brand-new Christmas reflections. Follow the Star invites you to experience the wonder and excitement of the Wise Men's journey as they travel towards Jesus. This year's booklet offers a brand new reflection for each of the twelve days of Christmas with a short Bible passage, a simple prayer and a challenge to reflect or act differently. They are supported by additional free digital materials, including suggested activities for families based on each day's theme.
The Diocesan Board of Finance has added its support to the roof alarm scheme that is administered by the LeicesterShire Historic Churches Trust (LHCT) on behalf of Allchurches Trust.

The LeicesterShire Historic Churches Trust (LHCT) has been awarded £50,000 by Allchurches Trust to assist churches that wish to install a roof alarm. Since August 2018, fifteen churches have been awarded grants and the scheme runs until 31 July 2020, or earlier if the funds are exhausted.
The 2019 Real Advent Calendar has been officially launched with a new 24 page Christmas story-activity book, a children's competition, with profits helping to transform the lives of children in Kenya.
