The Diocese of Leicester and the Diocese of Lincoln have come together to offer an East Midlands Pilgrimage to Taizé for young adults aged 18-35, which will take place from August 1-9 this year.
The year is ending with a new beginning for the worshipping communities in the Wigston Benefice, as they welcome the Revd David Cowie as their new Rector.
Bishop Martyn spoke to BBC East Midlands reporter, Jeremy Ball, about building bridges between cultures at Christmas.
It was a double service celebration in the Launde Deanery Minster Community recently as the Revd Crystal McAllister was licensed into the parishes and commissioned in her role as Oversight Minister.

Members of the Soar Valley Minster Community came together on Thursday (20 November) for a service of inauguration and commissioning of this newly forming Minster Community. At the heart of Soar Valley, there is a strong sense of the whole people of God working together for the Kingdom in this area of the diocese, with hopeful stories emerging.
As we come to the end of November, our thoughts turn to Advent and the festivities that follow. The Christmas season is often associated with joy and celebration, but for some, it can be a very challenging time.
