On Tuesday 17 October, Bishop Martyn gave the keynote address at Reconciliation Initiatives’ first racial justice conference, drawing on his reflections on our diocese's journey towards intercultural communities.
A prayer-filled, passionate, and purposeful few days were had by a small team of leaders from the Diocese of Leicester who recently attended the ‘Being Built Together’ conference for UKME/Global Majority Heritage Anglicans.
A prayer space training course is being held in the diocese during November, to help equip people in their vital work with children and young people across our churches and schools.
The Church of England’s House of Bishops has agreed in principle that prayers asking for God’s blessing for same-sex couples should be commended for use, but special services should be formally authorised under canon law.

This patchwork quilt has been lovingly hand-stitched by a faithful and faith-filled network of quilters, who regularly retreat at Launde Abbey, to raise money for Ukrainian people living in Leicester.
