Bishops Martyn and Saju have led confirmations in Evington and Framland.
A church-based project to bring a culturally diverse community together in faith and friendship, is doing well in nurturing good mental health and building bridges between the many different people living in the parish of Evington.
Thy Kingdom Come came to a close yesterday – an annual event that saw Christians across the Diocese of Leicester joining with Christians around the world in a commitment to pray 24 hours a day for 11 days, from Accession through to Pentecost.
As Together Leicester Development Worker, Elaine Smith has been working ecumenically with parishes in the county to develop innovative and creative ways of addressing food poverty, including community kitchens, lunch clubs, community fridges and cook and eat sessions, alongside the food pantries that have been emerging across the diocese
