With the Bishops’ Lent Appeal well underway, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have donated to the cause so far.
Earlier this month, senior members of the diocese and link partner colleagues travelled to Tanzania to visit our Christian brothers and sisters in Kiteto and Mount Kilimanjaro.
This month, we bring you two confirmations services that were held during the first weekend of March, before the beginning of Lent. Across the Diocese of Leicester, a number of people - of all ages - made a commitment to God, sharing their faith stories and celebrating with their church communities, friends, and families.
The joyful beginnings of new ministry were celebrated in Loughborough earlier this month as Reverend Emily Sharman was welcomed as Rector of All Saints with Holy Trinity during a service of institution and induction.
The Bishops' Children and Youth Council have launched their latest listening exercise on the theme of Safeguarding. The goal of this term’s exercise is to help find out what makes children and young people feel safe in church.
A community gathering to exchange thoughts and feelings and explore how Leicester can continue to grow as an ‘intercultural city’ was hosted by Leicester Cathedral on Monday (3 March).
St Hilda’s Church in East Gosgote recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The results have been published from the Bishops’ Children & Youth Council (BCYC) Autumn 2024 Listening Report on Poverty. 458 young voices from schools and church groups across the diocese contributed with their opinions, insights and questions.
