Sparkenhoe East Area Dean

We are pleased to announce that The Revd Ed Bampton has been reappointed as Area Dean for Sparkenhoe East Deanery for a further three years, until 9 February 2029. We are grateful to Ed for all that he gives in this area of his ministry.


The Revd Debo Adelaja

With grateful thanks for his ministry and prayers of blessing for the future, we announce that The Revd Debo Adelaja, Associate Priest in the Benefice of All Saints with Holy Trinity, Loughborough, will be retiring with effect from 26 April 2026. Debo’s last Sunday will be Sunday 12 April 2026.


The Revd Paul Botting

Announcement that The Revd Paul Botting has relinquished his Permission to Officiate, with effect from 8 February 2026.


The Revd Colin Resch

We are pleased to announce that following the lifting of the patronage suspension, The Revd Colin Resch, currently Priest-In-Charge in the Benefice of Mountsorrel Christ Church and Saint Peter, will be licensed as Vicar of the Benefice.


The Revd Brian Thompson

It is with sadness that we announce the death of The Revd Brian Thompson, aged 91, on 16 January 2026.


Assistant Area Deans

With grateful thanks for their faithful ministry in this role and prayers of blessing for the future, we announce that The Revd Adrian Jones and The Revd Angela Tarry are stepping down from their additional roles as Assistant Area Dean.


The Revd Tom Devas

Further to the announcement advising that The Revd Tom Devas has been appointed as Team Rector of the Cornerstone Team, we can now confirm that Tom’s service of Institution and Induction will be conducted by the Bishop of Loughborough, The Rt Revd Saju Muthalaly, on Sunday March at 6pm, at St Luke’s Thurnby.


The Revd Nick Henwood

We are pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Nick Henwood, currently Curate in the Benefice of Holy Apostles, as Curate in the Benefice of The Resurrection.


The Revd Adele Adshead

We are pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Adele Adshead, currently Vicar in the Benefice of St Mary in Charnwood, Nanpantan, also as Transition Oversight Minister of the Beacon in the Forest Minster Community. This additional role is for a 12-month term.


Janet Barlow

With grateful thanks for her ministry and prayers of blessing for the future, we announce that Janet (Jan) Barlow, Intercultural Pioneer Minister at St Paul’s Oadby, has resigned with effect from Sunday 8 February 2026.
