The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Lauretta Wilson, as the new Area Dean of Akeley East, taking over from The Revd Wendy Darlymple. The date of Lauretta's licensing is to be confirmed.


The Revd Alice Elizabeth (Liz) Bickley

The Bishop announces that The Revd Liz Bickley, Rector in the Hexagon Benefice, has been appointed as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Baddesley with Grendon and Dordon, in the Diocese of Birmingham


The Revd Sarah Wright

The Bishop announces that The Revd Sarah Wright, Chaplain at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trusts, is resigning with effect from 27th July 2021.


The Revd Alan Humphrey

The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Alan Humphrey, currently Warden at the Community of the Tree of Life, as Voluntary Chaplain at Launde Abbey. Alan will continue to hold the Bishop's Permission to Officiate. Alan and Lesley will move to Launde Abbey during August.


The Revd Canon Peter Mackenzie

The Bishop is pleased to announce The Revd Canon Peter Mackenzie, Associate Priest in the Benefice of Market Harborough and The Transfiguration – Little Bowden with Lubenham and Great Bowden, has had his licensed extended for a twelve month period from the current date of expiry (26th August 2021)


The Revd Canon Alison Myers

Further to the announcement dated 11 June 2021 advising that The Revd Canon Alison Myers has been appointed as Warden of Launde Abbey and Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Loddington with Launde Abbey, we can now confirm that Alison will be licensed by the Bishop of Leicester, The Rt Revd Martyn Snow, on Wednesday 6th October 2021 at 7.30pm at Launde Abbey.


The Revd David Bowler

The Bishop announces that The Revd David Bowler, Vicar in the Quorndon Benefice, will be retiring with effect from 31 October 2021


The Revd Canon Vivien Elphick

The Bishop announces that The Revd Canon Vivien Elphick, Team Rector in The Woodfield Team Benefice, will be retiring on 30 September 2021.


The Revd Hilary (Hils) Corcoran

The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Hilary (Hils) Corcoran, Rector in the Benefice of St Paul's Withington in the Diocese of Manchester, as Team Vicar in the Benefice of Market Harborough and The Transfiguration – Little Bowden with Lubenham and Great Bowden, with special responsibility for Great Bowden.


The Revd Gary Weston

Following the announcement regarding The Revd Canon John McGinley's new role, the Bishop announces that The Revd Gary Weston will serve on a fixed term secondment to support Resourcing Churches in the formation of new worshipping communities, leadership support and coaching and church planting strategy.
