The Bishop announces that The Revd Vince Jupp, Diocesan Transition Enabler (Interim Priest) currently ministering in the Benefice of St Mary's Hinckley, will be retiring with effect from 31 May 2021. Vince's last day at St Mary's will be Sunday 23 May.

In 1994 Jan was ordained as one of the first women priests, having served as a deaconess and deacon in the Dioceses of Newcastle and St Albans. Jan ministered in the Dioceses of Oxford and Peterborough, before retiring to Leicester where she held the Bishop's Permission to Officiate
The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Amanda Digman, Priest in Charge of Carlton and Colwick in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, as Rector of the Parish of Birstall and Wanlip. Amanda's service of Institution and Induction will be conducted by the Bishop of Leicester, The Rt Revd Martyn Snow, on Wednesday 15th September 2021 at 7.30pm at St James the Great, Birstall.

The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Robert (Bob) Hutchings, aged 75, on Sunday 18th April 2021. Bob was ordained in 1988 and served his entire ministry in the Diocese of Leicester, most recently with the Bishop's Permission to Officiate. He leaves a wife, Jean, two adult children and their families.
The Bishop announces that The Revd Mick Norman, Rector in the Benefice of Sapcote and Sharnford cum Wigston Parva, will be retiring with effect from 30 July 2021. Mick's last service will be Sunday 11 July.
The Revd Ian Hill's service of Collation and Induction as Vicar of St Mary's Hinckley with St Francis Centre, will be conducted by the Bishop of Leicester, The Rt Revd Martyn Snow, on Wednesday 30 June 2021 at 7.30pm at St Mary's Church.
