The Revd Stuart Foster

The Bishop announces that The Revd Stuart Foster, Chaplain of Belvoir Castle, has retired and relinquished his PTO with effect from 15th December 2020. Following Stuart's retirement, The Revd Simon Shouler will be Acting Chaplain to Belvoir Castle.


The Revd John Dawson

The Bishop announces that The Revd John Dawson, Chaplain at East Midlands Airport, is resigning with effect from 10th February 2021.


Philip Millward

The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Millward as Leicester Grammar School Lay Chaplain and Youth Worker. Philip will be licensed by the Bishop of Leicester, The Rt Revd Martyn Snow, via Zoom on Friday 29th January at 8.30am.


The Very Revd Alan Christopher Warren

The Bishop announces the death of The Very Revd Alan Warren, aged 88, on 22nd December 2020. Alan was Vicar of Holy Apostles, Leicester from 1964-1972 and then served as Provost of Leicester Cathedral from 1978 until he retired in 1992.


The Revd Canon Peter Moseling

The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Canon Peter Moseling, aged 72, on 30th December 2020. Peter was ordained in 1996 and ministered in Peterborough and Southwark Dioceses until he retired in 2016. Peter held the Bishop's Permission to Officiate in this diocese from 2017.


The Revd Chris Haywood

The Bishop announces that The Revd Christopher Haywood, Curate in the Benefice of Hugglescote with Donington, Ellistown and Snibston, has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of The Lee and the Benefice of Hawridge with Cholesbury and St Leonards in the Diocese of Oxford.


The Revd Sami Lindsey and The Revd Jon Tearne

The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Sami Lindsey, Priest in Charge of the Emmaus Parish Team, also as Interim Team Vicar in the Oadby Great Glen Team Ministry. Sami will be licensed by the Bishop of Leicester, The Rt Revd Martyn Snow, on Sunday 24 January 2021. The Bishop also announces that The Revd Jon Tearne will be moving curacy from the Emmaus Parish Team to the Oadby Great Glen Team Ministry, with effect from Sunday 24 January 2021.


The Revd Sharon Constable

The Bishop announces that The Revd Sharon Constable will be resigning as Area Dean of Guthlaxton with effect from 1 March 2021. Sharon will continue as Rector of the Benefice of Broughton Astley and Croft with Stoney Stanton and Interim Priest of the Avon-Swift Benefice.


The Revd Sonya Wratten

The Bishop announces that The Revd Sonya Wratten, Healthcare Chaplain at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trusts, has been appointed as Vicar of Reading Minster, St Mary the Virgin in the Diocese of Oxford.


The Revd Dmitry Lutsenko

The Bishop announces that The Revd Dmitry Lutsenko, Curate in the Benefice of St John Hinckley (currently on secondment at Walsgrave St Mary, Coventry), has been appointed as Vicar of St Mary the Virgin, Horsell in the Diocese of Guildford.
