The Revd David Maudlin

The Bishop announces that The Revd David Maudlin, Priest in Charge of St Mary De Castro, Leicester, will be retiring with effect from 31st July 2020.


Licencings for Deacons Awaiting Ordination

As the ordinations have been delayed until September due to the COVID19 pandemic, those to be ordained deacon will be licenced as lay workers by the Bishop of Leicester, The Rt Revd Martyn Snow, by Zoom on Thursday 2nd July.

The Bishop announces that The Revd Christopher Allen, Vicar in the Benefice of Cosby and Whetstone, has been appointed as Priest in Charge of Shipley, in the Diocese of Chichester.

The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Hilary Lomax, currently with Permission to Officiate, as Chaplain of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicester Partnership NHS Trusts.

The Bishop announces that The Revd Helena Whittaker, Interim Chaplain at Leicester Grammar School, has been appointed as Chaplain of Lady Margaret School, Fulham and Priest in Charge of St John the Divine Earlsfield, in the diocese of Southwark.
