A community gathering to exchange thoughts and feelings and explore how Leicester can continue to grow as an ‘intercultural city’ was hosted by Leicester Cathedral on Monday (3 March).
Dame Rachel de Souza, Children’s Commissioner for England, spent the day in the Diocese of Leicester visiting children in a local Church of England school and finding out about the significant interfaith work going on in the city.
There’s a new team of hope-filled, joy-inspiring, God-loving young adults in our diocese, and they’re out making a difference in our worshipping communities.
The ‘How to’ films address some of the most pressing questions raised by Children's and Youth Ministers and volunteers, and offer practical tools, creative ideas and Biblical insights.
The mission and ministry of St Peter's Church in Belgrave is featured in a new video, as part of a series highlighting 'New Communities' across the Diocese of Leicester.
All Saints with Holy Trinity, who became an Intercultural Worshipping Community (IWC) in 2019, are excited to have embarked upon their ‘We’re All Saints’ project and commissioned bespoke artwork for the church which will lead to collaborative projects with local schools and community groups.
There were blessings in abundance as the church communities of Mountsorrel welcomed an all-age congregation to Christ Church for a special Godparents’ Sunday service.
Last Autumn, three families felt a shared sense of calling to become part of the weekly worshipping community at The Good Shepherd.
Up and down the diocese our worshipping communities are running holiday play schemes, cafés, craft events and camps, making vital connections between church and children and offering loving service to the community.
