Breakfast Church at St Crispin’s in Braunstone welcomed a special visitor to help them think about Creationtide earlier this month. After an interactive telling of the Creation story from Genesis 1, the congregation were able to meet one of God’s wonderful creatures - 'Monty' the Vicarage Python.
The historic church was recently rededicated by Bishop Saju during a service of thanksgiving, marking the completion of a significant reordering project. The ambitious plan, aptly named ‘The Village Heart at St John’s’ has transformed the church into a welcoming and versatile space for the entire community.

For the last 11 days, from Ascension through to Pentecost, Christians throughout the world have been praying 'Thy Kingdom Come' for more people to come to know Jesus. It’s encouraging to see how our worshipping communities around the diocese have been devoting their time to the movement, and finding new, creative, and engaging ways to pray.

Thy Kingdom Come is an annual ecumenical prayer movement which unites Christians around the world in praying from Ascension to Pentecost for the coming of the Spirit and for more people to come to know Christ. This year it will take place from Thursday 9th May to Sunday 19th May, and the national church has produced new and updated resources so everyone can take part.
